Made to Mention
By Avery Dennison
In this seventh edition of Made to Mention, we take stock of the progress toward transparency, traceability and waste management in the apparel industry, as well as share some of the future-forward tools that we can leverage to meet our goals faster.
In response to global economic, environmental and supply chain challenges, annual reports from apparel brands and businesses are increasingly shining a light on enabling end-to-end visibility, flexibility and efficiency as a strategic priority.
One critical step toward making this a reality is establishing a ‘digital twin’ of the supply chain.
A significant majority of consumers (79%) are changing their purchase preferences based on sustainability.
This contrasts sharply with the 36% of organizations who believe consumers are willing to make this
change in their choices/ preferences based on
social or environmental impact.
Such a gap represents a risk of ~6% of brands
& retailers revenue if unaddressed.
